Today started with a rough night. I woke up two or three times and never really settled into a deep sleep. Looking back, I think working on the computer until 10:30 PM may have had something to do with it. Even though I had a blue light filter turned on, I was still looking at a bright screen late into the night. Adding the stress from work on top of that, I think it may have been enough to keep me from sleeping well. It’s something I’ll have to pay more attention to going forward.
It has been raining most of the day, and at times it was absolutely pouring. Even so, I didn’t want to skip today’s grounding session. So after work, I went outside and spent about twenty minutes grounding my feet in the rain. My mom and my sister decided to skip today’s session because of the weather.
The rain had softened the soil. I walked back and forth on the section of the path I’ve already cleared. As I started walking, I could see my footprints pressed into the soil behind me, and my feet sank a little with each step. It didn’t take long to realize the ground was simply too soft. Continuing to walk would only leave deeper footprints and disturb the path I have been working so hard to prepare.
So instead, I found a spot where the ground was firm enough that my feet wouldn’t sink, and I simply stood there, letting the rain fall around me. Walking back and forth on the path will have to wait for another day. For now, standing in the rain was enough.
To be continued…
